The choir has performed with all the major orchestras in Hong Kong; including the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, the Pan Asia Symphony as well as the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra. Over the years, the choir has also established an international reputation through its oversea tours of Asia, Europe, Russia, Canada and the United States of America. A San Francisco critic wrote “perfect blend, impeccable intonation and diction … great vocal beauty and excitement”. In 2000, the HKBUGC participated in the first Choir Olympics in Linz, Austria and duly won a bronze medal in this world competition.
